Tender Words

With tender words

you shot my heart

with wounds accepted

I chose my fate.

Upon the altar

I stood . . . delighted

bonds of devotion

we did create.

You care for me

as none before

and tend me

like a garden loved.

I bloom,

I blossom ever still

have others known

this kind of love?

My fortunes

have been piling high

my treasure has

been growing deep.

With heart yet filled

and overfilling

my love, your treasure

I shall keep.
