She sat quietly listening to the stillness of the earth
The gentle breezes whispering through the rustling leaves
Grass swaying softly and flowers bowing ever so slightly
Her tousled hair swept across her forehead and kissed her cheeks
Summer was gone and the gentle breezes of autumn slowly crept in.

It’s funny – but I was actually teaching the kids poetry and they needed an example of a poem that didn’t rhyme. I put it together and I’ve been in love with it since. Strange where inspiration comes from! So glad you like it!

It was lovely. In love with the imagery of hair kissing the cheeks. Autumn brought some sweet changes 🙂
